Itemization Patch
Don't Die, Collect Loot » Devlog
For a game centered around loot, items have fallen into a pretty boring place. This patch is the first of a few intending to bring them into a more interesting spot.
Items
- Regular item drops have had their average modifier count increased by 25% or so. Less boring 1-mod items, more focus on getting some interesting stuff to drop! This also impacts the quality of items found in the shop.
- Tier 1 uniques are 3x more likely to drop
- Tier 2 uniques are 5x more likely to drop
- Added 2 new Tier 1 uniques
- Added 8 new Tier 2 uniques
- Added support for some more interesting item modifiers
- Swapped items to a new icon set
Balance
- The Crafter now unlocks slightly earlier (in general reaching monster level 7-8 instead of 9 should cause her to appear)
- The Adventurer starts at 15 life and gains 5 life per level now
- Storm Avatars now move about twice as fast
- Storm Avatars no longer chase offscreen enemies
- Treasure chests now have an 8% chance to drop unique items, up from 2%
Bug Fixes
- Ignites and Poisons should no longer impact you in town
- Whirlwind will no longer bug out when certain buff combinations are picked
