Gameplay and Systems Update


Graphics

  • Updated shaders and level assembly. This won't impact gamplay, but everything should look nicer now

Gameplay

  • Added a new weather system. Under certain conditions, memories may come under the effect of various storms. Storms have ambient effects, and can buff enemies as well. Weather effects scale with the difficulty of the game, including monster level and speed. Weather effects also come with cool new visuals
  • Added Thunderstorm - Lightning randomly strikes, dealing lightning damage if you're hit. Monsters deal additional lightning damage under the effect of the storm as well
  • Added Speed Shrine - Controller(s) of the shrine move faster and have quicker cooldowns
  • Added Thicc Shrine - Controller(s) of the shrine have more health and regen rapidly
  • Added Resist Shrine - Controller(s) of the shrine have +10% to max resists and +25% all resists
  • Added Greed Shrine - Controller(s) of the shrine take 10% more damage and are twice as likely to find loot
  • Added something secret that appears under certain conditions
  • Removed the Map Modifier Edit screen. Nobody was really using this, and it was largely abandoned
  • Removed the current Research system, and replaced it with an experience-like system. You can't spend this experience right now, but anything you earn will be usable when the new system launches.

Balance

  • Monster Health scaling exponent increased from 1.2 to 1.3
  • Experience to Next Level exponent increased from 1.15 to 1.25
  • Treant base health increased from 170 to 200
  • Default max resistances reduced from 80% to 75%. Total max resistances cannot exceed 90%.

Bug Fixes

  • Buffs/Debuffs can no longer persist after death
